Would you recommend one-to-one or group vocal lessons?

If you are a beginner vocalist you can choose the option that you prefer.

Should you have some experience with your voice, we would recommend one-to-one vocal lessons.

Do I need to be able to sing prior to starting?

Absolutely NOT! You do not need any prior experience when starting out with us.

We also genuinely believe that you ARE talented and that you can learn to sing!

It is a proven fact that absolutely anyone, from any background CAN learn how to sing with good voice training.

Where will make vocal lessons take place?

We have two locations in central London. You can currently learn to sing with us on a one-to-one basis in the City of London or in Mayfair. All our group singing lessons take place in the City of London. You can also learn how to sing with us from anywhere in the world via Skype.

Do I need to practise ?

Yes. It is necessary for you to practise on a daily basis, if you wish to make any progress. As a beginner, 15 minutes to 30 minutes is the minimum amount of time you should dedicate to personal practice on a daily basis, as attending your weekly lessons would not be enough for you to develop your vocal technique and vocal control.

Would you help me to complete my grade exams?

Yes, we would be delighted to help you complete your graded voice exams in both classical and pop/rock/jazz styles.

Do I need any talent to sign up?

We believe great vocalists are made not born and you definitely have more talent than you currently think. Negative myths and cliches are responsible for many adults not starting to sing. We guarantee you that you will be able to sing, as long as you follow the instructions properly and practise at least 15-20 minutes everyday.

Do not let fear hold you back, if you are a nervous adult beginner vocalist or just nervous in general, you can try our no-fear introductory vocal lesson!

I’ve had awful memories of my siblings and friends laughing at me whenever I tried to sing when I was younger, can you help me overcome my vocal-related fears?

All our vocal teachers at the London Singing Institute are experts at teaching and they know EXACTLY how to take you from where you are to where you want to be. They also know how to make it easy and comfortable to sing. Often times they will encourage you to ONLY sing in front of them in the beginning phase so that you gain the right technique, and tone quality prior to singing for family or friends.

So in a word: YES! We will help you learn how to sing!

Do I need to play a musical instrument to start singing?

No, you do not need to play a musical instrument.

You can ‘come as you are’.

You do not need ANY prior musical experience.

If you do want to learn another instrument, we can definitely help you with that too.

We also offer piano lessons at The London Piano Institute, guitar lessons at The London Guitar Institute and cello lessons at The London Cello Institute.
